SCRIPTURE OF THE DAY-LUKE 17:6 [DEVOTION]

And the Lord answered, “If you had faith (trust and confidence in God) even [so small] like a grain of mustard seed, you could say to this mulberry tree, Be pulled up by the roots, and be planted in the sea, and it would obey you.”-Luke 17:6

How important is your speech?

Well right here we understand that our FAITH and our SPEECH are connected to MANIFESTATION! We must understand that first FAITH comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. So the first question is what are you hearing? Whose voice is resonating in your life? Is it the word of God your Father? If not, we must make it so. We must have trust in confidence in that word. Why? Because when we do (even to the smallest level of a mustard seed) it will cause you to SAY! Understand that what you truly have faith in, is what’s continually coming out of your mouth. Where you are in your life RIGHT NOW, is what you have been speaking years prior. Now it’s time to SAY whatever it is God has SAID concerning you…daily! Again why? Because whatever you find yourself speaking to, it must obey (or manifest) according to what you have SPOKEN!

NOW AGAIN I ASK YOU…WHAT ARE YOU SAYING?

SCRIPTURE OF THE DAY-JEREMIAH 18:2-5 and DEVOTION

Arise and go down to the potter’s house, and there I will cause you to hear My words. Then I went down to the potter’s house, and behold, he was working at the wheel. And the vessel he was making from clay was spoiled in the hand of the potter; so he mad it over, reworking it into another vessel as it seemed good to the potter to make it. – JERMIAH 18:2-5

Wow this verse just RENEWED me today. Hello everyone, I decided that it would be nice just to share my devotion of the week right here with the scripture this time versus make an entirely different post. I love how the Holy Spirit communicates with me. Here I am barely awake, getting my thoughts together about dinner, and boom, “I hear…I’m the Potter, you’re the clay, should not MY WISHES for your life be most important?” Of course I’m like YES LORD! Then He says-“Do My Will”…Now for me, and for my family close to me…they know I immediately begin to cry thinking..oh no I’m not doing the will of God..help me Holy Spirit…yes it was dramatic..water works everywhere…lol. But like the Comforter He is, He explained…”Tell the people…there is no PLAN better for their lives, then the one I have for them.” And of course I was like WILL DO!

As we read the scripture above it is important to look at the key words. The first one for me was POTTER(GOD)…cause I understand that this is the ONE who will create the masterpiece(a work done with extraordinary skill…this is YOU). See an inventor of something is the only one that truly knows the inner workings, the outer workings, the most intricate parts of what he has created. He understands fully how it’s suppose to function. Now one last thing: Jeremiah was told, to go down to the potters house and their he will be able to hear God’s words. Listen to me, if you want to know WHO YOU ARE then you must go to the SOURCE…no one else knows you better.

The next key word for me was VESSEL(a person into whom some quality (as grace) is infused; a container for holding something). We are the vessels in this passage. And what was most intriguing was the fact that it speaks about the vessel being SPOILED in the hands of the POTTER! Then I understood this…since the fall in the garden we were considered “spoiled” or “ruined” or not in the state intended from the beginning in longer…BUT GOD! The POTTER simply made us OVER. (Praise Dance) Through the death, burial, and ressurection of Jesus Christ, we have been made over, reworked into another VESSEL, you know..the one that seems good to the POTTER. We have been restored back to who HE intended us to be from the beginning. That means that all ORIGINAL plans that God intended for your life are STILL A GO. He has not changed His mind about one single solitary thing that He has planned concering you. And if you think that you can come up with a plan that will bring Him glory, and make you the happiest all at the same time…smh, you are sadly mistaken. Trust HIM. HE GOT YOU.

Do His Will ( or stick to His plan) trust me it’s the best one for your life…hey He is the ONE who CREATED YOU…and when you accepted CHRIST as Savior…you my friend began to walk as a MASTERPIECE! Accept it! And let’s do it! I can’t wait to see what greatness pours forth from you!

HOW IMPORTANT IS OUR SPEECH? IT’S THE PATH TO DESTINY!

How important is your speech? Well I would say very! It’s the path to fulfilling your destiny/purpose! For all who have read the bible (at least the book of Genesis) we understand that God(the Father) created the universe with HIS words! Whatever He spoke is what was manifested.

How does this relate to us? Remember we were made in HIS image & likeness, and through the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ we are able to do the works that HE did and greater! (John 14:12)

We also know that life and death are in the power of the tongue, and we eat the fruit (words) thereof (be it life or death)!

So it’s no wonder that the bible says in John 14:10 “Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and that the Father is in Me? What I am telling you I DO NOT SAY on My own authority and of MY own accord, but the Father Who lives continually in Me does His works.” And then Christ made it known in John 16:13 that When the Spirit of Truth comes he will guide us into all truth and He will NOT SPEAK on His own authority but will tell us what He has heard from the Father.

What are we to understand from this? That if Christ made sure to speak only what the Father said and it led him to the fulfillment of His destiny on earth, and He sent the Holy Spirit to us who believe to tell us what the Father is saying concerning us that we may fulfill our destiny on earth, then we must WATCH THE WORDS coming out of our mouth. I mean our destiny depends on it!

Well Christ let it be known in John 17:4 that He brought glory to the Father by completing the work The Father gave Him to do!

What’s the Difference?

The Bible encourages us to seek understanding. Read a couple of good books on the differences between men and women and also one on the differences in personalities. If you do, it may prevent thousands of arguments or misunderstandings.

Women offer unsolicited advice and give direction, and men usually don’t take advice very well. The woman thinks she is just trying to help, but the man thinks she doesn’t trust him to make the right decision.

When a woman disagrees with a man, he takes it as disapproval, and it ignites his defenses. Men only want advice after they have done everything they can do. Advice given too soon or too often causes him to lose his sense of power. He may become lazy or insecure.

Men are motivated and empowered when they feel needed. Women are motivated when they feel cherished.

Men are visual creatures; once an image is in their head, it’s hard to get it out. Women are more inclined to remember emotions or how something made them feel.

Seek understanding first, then speak.

Pray: Lord, I want to be a woman of wisdom and understanding. Help me comprehend why men are the way they are and how I can improve in my communication and friendships. Amen.
