Lakers and Wolves In A Possible Trade: Ric Bucher reports

Adam, Sasha and Josh For Corey Brewer, Ryan Hollins and Mark Blount….. According to Ric Bucher & LD2K

Ok, looking at this “rumor” trade, what is the implication of it? Like what good would it do for my team (Lakers) in particular? See these type of trades are more likely to happen than not. One reason is the fact that Kurt Rambis is in Minnesota, and with a 9-36 record right now, I know he wouldn’t mind helping us if he can. Corey Brewer is definitely and Ariza type player, quick, athletic, and if he would work with “shooting coach” Craig Hodges, possibly a good 3pt shooter, just like Trevor was for our team. Even though in this trade, we are giving up 2 descent 3pt shooters of our own, but this is definitely a money deal for the Lakers. Yet, Josh Powell has become the Ronny Turiaf of the Laker team. I watch him and Kobe before each game, and Josh is over there pumping Kobe up. So will that be a problem? I’m sure it won’t as long as Kobe is winning. I trust Mitch in his decision making, even though I wish were going after Kirk Hinrich from the Bulls, but hey, do what is necessary Mitch. The LakerFam is behind ya.

The Los Angeles Lakers started off their six-game road trip by beating the Minnesota Timberwolves Friday, 132-119.

It was the highest single-game point total for the Lakers this season.

The Lakers were led, once again, by the stellar play of Andrew Bynum (27 points, 15 rebounds, 2 blocks), who lived up to his newly-given nickname, Bynumite, by showing explosiveness on both ends of the floor.

The Wolves were playing better then their record coming into the game, with a 10-3 mark in January.

Despite an impressive performance by their franchise player, Al Jefferson (34 points, 13 rebounds), the Wolves were just out-manned by the larger, more athletic Lakers. The Wolves cut the lead to single-digits in the fourth, but Kobe Bryant responded with a couple of tough shots to keep the game out of reach.

It was an important victory for the Lakers, who need to take care of business against the weaker teams at the beginning of this road trip before ending it with games against the Boston Celtics and Cleveland Cavaliers.

Kobe Interview Jan. 25, 2009

Kobe wants Boston in the Finals!

Fear Not, Believe ONLY!!!

At this time in Lakerland it “seems” bleak, but it should not be so right now. I have watched the Lakers in 3 decades now, and I have had far more UPs than DOWNS! I have seen some of the most (what I call) horrendous breakdowns, and some of the most exhilarating comebacks! And what we as fans of the game are about to witness is the FIRST EVER COMEBACK IN THE NBA FINALS FROM A 3-1 DEFICIT!

I know people are thinking, this person just loves the Lakers, and is talking with her heart as a fan, but know that I just TRULY BELIEVE. This team has all the components to become NBA CHAMPIONS THIS SEASON, and that’s exactly what will HAPPEN!This is not about having the best closer in the game (Kobe Bryant), or the Hall of Fame coach with Phil Jackson, it’s because we have a TEAM! A team made up of basketball BROTHERS! A team that has the DNA of Kobe Bryant, that I will not lose DNA!

So fans FEAR NOT, BELIEVE ONLY!
