I won’t continue to tell everyone how 2013 is Dawn Richard’s year. Her solo career is continuing to soar..and where she will end up everybody knows..right on top. With the release of her debut album: GoldenHeart, I will say she definitely got the right formula to success. Check out this new joint she dropped called: Love On The Rocks.

This moment has been a long time coming for Dawn Richard. Singer/songwriter, former member of Danity Kane (heck I say once DK always DK..lol), former member of Diddy Dirty Money, etc..etc…I say that because this woman has not stopped since the day we were first introduced to her for MTV’s Making the Band. Her grind has been relentless, and not without struggle, yet by faith she has stood her ground, trusted God to do what He said He would concerning her…and now he she is, on the cusp of her first full length debut album: GoldenHeart. I have been pulling for Dawn since day one..so I’m very excited for this album to drop. I’m not sure there is even a category for this music…that’s what makes it dope to me. So take a listen to the snippets, and then click the link to pre-order the album.
Dawn Richard…smh! I simply love this singer. Dawn just continues to bring me along on this music journey she’s embarking on as a solo artist. I will never say the sky is the limit for her, but rather her faith is the limit! If she can believe it & receive it, this woman will be standing before podiums accepting numerous awards in the very near future. Her new joint, On A String, serves as another new single from her upcoming album: Golden Hearts, which is slated to be release early 2013.
Dawn Richard laced her fans (the Hearts) with brand new music, this week. The song is entitled 86‘. Whew, I simply love Dawn. Just seeing her star rise, & her Faith propel her into greatness, is amazing. I been a fan since the beginning, & this song only gives me the assurance, that she’s going to make it! You can’t even put this type of genuis into a genre..lol. Congrats Dawn, you done it again.

Dawn Richard just dropped what is presumably her first official single, from her upcoming debut solo album, GoldenHearts, which is slated for a 10/6 release. The song is called, Pretty Wicked Things, and was written by the singer, and produced by Druski. The level of music Dawn has dropped since her release from Bad Boy has been nothing short of incredible. I’m loving her sound, and it’s going to be very hard to categorize her music. She’s too eclectic. I love It.
MTV’s Making the band, male platinum group, Day26, have officially called it quits. This comes as no suprise to me. Every since the releasal of the youngest member Anthony Que Mosley, I for one was no longer a fan of them as a group. They released an official statement. Check it out.
“It is with great sadness and deep pain that we regret to inform you that effective immediately, Atlantic Records Platinum recording group, DAY26 have decided to take a break from the group and focus on their own individual projects. On behalf of all the members; Willie, Mike, Rob, Brian and even Que, we would like to thank all of the “fams” aka fans, dj’s across the world, promoters, radio programmers, Bad Boy Entertainment, Starstruck Management, BET, VH1 and FUSE and all DAY26 supporters in general, for your unending support throughout these years.”
“We would also like to acknowledge that this journey would have not been made possible without the vision and mastermind of Sean “Diddy” Combs and of course MTV Networks for making a group of unknown men, the stars that they are today.”
“We simply thank you from the bottom of our hearts and really want you to know that the journey does not end here. We continue to wish each other the very best and continued success in all of our individual endeavors, and all we ask of you is to please give each member a chance and the opportunity to shine in whatever they do.”
…And as the saying goes, this is not a goodbye, but a simply see you later.
God bless you all,
Much Love, DAY26. (Source)
Even though I can’t understand why groups can’t learn how to work with one another in order to make great music is beyond me. With 2 platinum albums under their belt, I guess success was too much for them..smh. Now we will need to see what they will offer the music industry individually.
My favorite joint from Day26 is a joint written by none other than former couple, Dawn Richard (formely of Danity Kane) & Anthony Que Mosely-Perfectly Blind.
Fiyahhhh!! Whew. Okay let me just say that there are some people that you just want to see make it. Dawn Richard is one of those people. From Making The Band, to solo greatness, Dawn Richard is the epitome of not giving up. Not just on her dream, but herself! The always grinding, never sleeping, too much music to make and money to get, singer/songwriter, has taken the “independent” label by storm, and guess whose raking in the dividends…that’s right. Tell me God not good?
With her brand new EP, Armor On, still sitting in Itunes top 15, the former Danity Kane member releases her 2nd video of the EP, for the song Automatic, and she did her thang. Dawn gives you her unique vocals, along with a writing style that will take her places she never envisioned, and a melody, that hooks any ear thats listening.
CelebrityMinistry would like to be one of the first to congratulate Dawn Richard, for being true to herself, the gift God gave her, and the to the gift Giver.

Finally, a new chapter can begin. When we last saw Dawn Richard and Aubrey O’Day in the same space, it was on the season finale of MTV’s Making The Band, and the tension was so thicke you could cut it with a knife..uh it may have taken a hatchet. The two Alfa-females (lol) were not giving an inch to one another and that’s never good, as it pertains to a group.
Danity Kane was the top selling female act created by none other than Diddy. We know with that being said..the group was almost destined to have some type of “break up” drama. The only problem with this drama, was the fact that watching the show, it was almost inevitable that Dawn & Aubrey would bump heads.
Well recently Aubrey let it be known on her twitter, that after several attempts to contact Dawn, she was able to have a talk with her. Check out the tweet below.
So the only question now is, will there ever be a Danity Kane reunion? I know it would take a lot of work behind the scenes, but this group had so much potential to become great, I would love to see them get it back together, at least for a reunion tour, that could spark even more for their solo careers.
Seriously there are only a few artists that I love supporting no matter what. Dawn Richard is one of those artists. Since the first day I saw her on MTV’s Making The Band, I knew there was something “different” about her. No not how she looked, her shyness, or even her sound, to me it was her spirit. One that was guarded, yet desired honesty and truth. One that one to have an opportunity to express her gift in a way that can touch lives on another level. Well we got to witness a small inkling of that while she was with Danity Kane (sucka for love, ride 4 u, etc) but now she’s about to bring us the complete package that is Dawn Richard, in her upcoming album: GoldenHearts. The first single, SMFU (Saving Myself From U), is now available on Itunes, and she recently released the video for the song. One word to describe the visual to the words written: POWERFUL. Hearts (what she calls her fans) enjoy this stage of Dawn as she shares a part of herself with you. It’s something to be said about a woman who understands who God is, what Faith means, and how to incorporate them both into her life knowing that without either she would have given up a long time ago.
