I can’t wait to got see this movie on 1/20. RedTails stars Cuba Gooding Jr., Terrance Howard, Ne-Yo, Nate Parker, Tristan Wilds and is directed by Anthony Hemingway, produced by George Lucas. Check out the trailer & please support the film.

1944. World War II rages and the fate of the free world hangs in the balance. Meanwhile the black pilots of the experimental Tuskegee training program are courageously waging two wars at once — one against enemies overseas, and the other against discrimination within the military and back home. Racial prejudices have long held ace airman Martin “Easy” Julian (Nate Parker) and his black pilots back at base — leaving them with little to do but further hone their flying skills — while their white counterparts are shipped out to combat after a mere three months of training. Mistakenly deemed inferior and assigned only second-rate planes and missions, the pilots of Tuskegee have mastered the skies with ease but have not been granted the opportunity to truly spread their wings. Until now.
As the war in Europe continues to take its dire toll on Allied forces, Pentagon brass has no recourse but to reconsider these under-utilized pilots for combat duty. Just as the young Tuskegee men are on the brink of being shut down and shipped back home, Col. A.J. Bullard (Terrence Howard) awards them the ultimate chance to prove their mettle high above. Undaunted by the prospect of providing safe escort to bombers in broad daylight — a mission so dangerous that the RAF has refused it and the white fighter groups have sustained substantial losses — Easy’s pilots at last join the fiery aerial fray. Against all the odds, with something to prove and everything to lose, these intrepid young airmen take to the skies in a heroic endeavor to combat the enemy — and the discrimination that has kept them down for so long.

Wow, now either I’m slipping or Mr. Perry is slipping on his advertising game, because I’m just now hearing about this movie. Tyler Perry will be releasing his latest film, Good Deeds, 2/24/12. The movie stars Perry, Gabrielle Union, & Thandie Newton. Tyler Perry shows no sign of quitting anytime soon, with his new dramatic television show, FOR BETTER OR FOR WORSE, still doing live plays, or creating movies for the big screen, the mogul is just getting started. Check out the official trailer and synopsis of the upcoming movie. And yes, your girl will be going to see this one too. Read the rest of this entry »

Okay, I just bought Tyler Perry’s newest stage play on Itunes: A MADEA CHRISTMAS, and I can’t believe it, but this is probably the funniest play he has done to date. He has a lot of the regulars in this one like, Cheryl “Pepsi” Riley, Cassi Davis, and Chandra Currelly-Young. But the person who really makes this one the funniest play I have seen by Tyler is the newcomer: Patrice Lovely as Hattie. Absolutely hilarious. If you are looking for good family entertainment with a message, please check out Tyler Perry’s A Madea Christmas.

Whitney Houston Returns To Big Screen

Whitney is all set to return to the big screen in Sparkle, a remake of the 1976 film of the same name. She will star alongside a brilliant cast, including Jordin Sparks, Derek Luke, Mike Epps, and more.
The film will be directed by Salim Akil (Jumping The Broom), with original music provided by none other than R. Kelly, who if you remember, wrote the title track off of Whitney’s latest album, “I Look To You.”

Tyler Perry is gearing up to bring his play,The Marriage Counselor, to the big screen. This will be Tyler’s 13th production between he, and Lions Gate Films. No word yet on the cast, but they are set to start production October 25. The movie will center around a married couple, (the husband is an accountant, and the wife a psychologist), where the wife will have a hard time taking her own advice that she gives to couples each day. Isn’t it funny that it’s easy to give advice, but very hard to take it when you are in the exact same situation?

Well I say bring on the funny and the lesson Mr. Perry.
