HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO AALIYAH HAUGHTON (1/16/79-8/25/01)

I remember when I heard this tragic news, my head went down, and my eyes filled with water. I couldn’t even grasp it. One of the most talented artist to be born had died at the age of 22. It stills baffles me as to why it had to happen this way. But one thing I know is that God makes no mistakes. I often wonder if today our generation truly understand what we lost in Aaliyah? We are talking about another female who would have blessed us with greatness, such as those females like Janet Jackson, Beyonce, Mary J. Blige, Mariah Carey & others. I pray it helps us to honor the people we love while they are here, rather than when they are gone. So enjoy one of my favorite all time Aaliyah joints…yes One In A Million is by far my favorite, but I’m going to hit you with this one.

It’s been awhile since true R/B fans have experienced what we believe to be authentic Rhythm and Blues music. Well I believe all of that is about to change. After nice projects in 2011 by Mary J. Blige, Joe, Keith Sweat, Tank & others, it seems as if the genre of music is coming back to it’s foundation. You know the music that you turn on when you going through something in your relationship, and it basically tells your life story. It’s at that time you begin to sing at the top of your lungs, with such conviction that it evokes emotion. Yea that real music. MARIAH CAREY ASKS FOR PRAYERS, NICK SUFFERED MILD KIDNEY FAILURE

Mariah Carey took to her twitter yesterday to ask her fans to pray for her husband, Nick, who suffered mild kidney failure. I’m not sure if Nick has always had a problem with his kidneys or what, but he will definitely be in my prayers. As a matter of fact, let’s pray now.
“Heavenly Father, Jehova Rafe (Our Healer), I ask that You touch Nick right now in the name of Your Son, Jesus. I know that with You all things are possible Father, so we call on Your name at this time. We ask that you give Mariah the strength she needs to help lift her husband up right now as well as well as the faith-filled words she need to only speak. We thank You in advance for holding Your Word above Your Name. And we call it done, in Jesus name. Amen!”

Mariah is definitely no stranger to having hit holiday songs, cause she held the same spot this time last year, with her song, Oh Santa.

[TV SHOW] FOX IS BRINGING BACK-IN LIVING COLOR

Before there was Affion Crockett, there was In Living Color. The 90’s half-hour comedy, created by Keenan Ivory Wayans, had the airwaves laughing, with it’s then modern day spoofs. Well now Fox is bringing the comedy back as a part of it’s 25th anniversary. The show launched some of the biggest hollywood careers to date, such as, Jamie Foxx, Jim Carey, and Jennifer Lopez. It was also a place where R/B and Hip Hop stars came to debut their new music. I can’t wait to see what it looks like now.
