[SPORTS] LAKERS LOSE SEASON OPENER TO BULLS


Ah the NBA is back, and it did not fail to deliver in it’s excitement on Christmas day. After watching the Celtics lose by one, on a KG missed attempt at the end, followed by a subsequent choke out of Bill Walker by KG. Then an absolute embarrassing banner raising day for the defending champions, Dallas Mavericks at the hands of the Miami Heat. I really didn’t know what to expect from my new look Lakers. LAKERS HOLD A MINI CAMP FOR FREE AGENTS

The Los Angeles Lakers are holding a two-day mini-camp in hopes of filling the final two spots left on it’s roster. Although a team can hold up to 15 players, the mandatory amount is 13. So with the impending free agency of Shannon Brown (who the Lakers believe will opt out of his contract), along with the fact that Mitch emphatically denies “shopping” any of the current players on the roster, and the pending lock out that seems inevitable…who will fill the remaining spots? NBA DRAFT 2011-LAKERS SELECTIONS

The Los Angeles Lakers had 4 picks in the second round at last night’s draft. Two point guards, in Darrius Morris at #41 and Andrew Goudelock at #46…where the first is a true point guard in every sense of the word, and the latter is an absolute scorer. With the #56 pick the Lakers chose Chukwudiebere Maduabum, who was latter traded to Denver for a future 2nd round pick. And with the #58 pick they chose Ater Mojok from the Sudan.
