See this is why I don’t believe Lebron when he talks about winning in the NBA.
Recently Lebron let it be known he wouldn’t mind playing in the NFL. I know a lot of players have said it, but my problem with LBJ is he can’t stay focused. During this period, with a lockout going on, I don’t want to see him doing anything sports wise but trying to get better to get that elusive NBA Championship.
It’s no secret I am not a fan, which is probably why I give him a hard time, but he makes it so easy. Lol
Cool, calm, collected, and most importantly…FOCUSED. Those were the words I would have used to describe Candace Parker as she returned after sitting out 7 games due to a tear in to her meniscus. Candace, who did not start, ended the game with a double double (15pts/10rbs), and an EJECTION. Why does this matter, being that the Sparks ended up losing the game? Because it’s time for someone on this team to act like it’s affecting them that they are sitting 5th in the Western Conference, with the possibility of not making the playoffs. As a fan I have called for the head of Jennifer Gillom, and Penny Toler…with Jen out, and now the team being coached by Joe Bryant, the chemistry still was not there. Honestly I believe that if this team could have one injury free season from a major player, winning the championship would not be in question or doubt. I just don’t want to see Candace Parker not become the player I know she destined to be. One on One, no one in this league can match up with her, and yes that includes Maya Moore. It’s like Kobe & Lebron…with Parker being the black mamba. Her mentality, and determination to get back on the court was captured in a video. If Parker is not in a championship game for the Sparks soon, and her husband playing in New York…we could possibly have another blockbuster trade (reminiscent of Cappie Poindexter leaving Phoenix)…and I know Sparks fans don’t want that. The time is now!
Oh I wish I was right there with JD & Bow right now. JD announced on Global14 that he would be going to Kobe Bryant’s Skill Academy Camp that he has every year. Be sure to sign up on JD’s very own Social Network, to see exclusive footage, pictures, and whatever else the music mogul may want to share with his fans. I know personally, I can’t wait for the new episode of Living The Life (JD’s vlog), where he hopefully will share footage of his long time friend Monica’s wedding to Los Angeles Lakers guard Shannon Brown, and we may even get to see Kobe Bryant doing the Dougie…lol. We all know that Bow Wow does the best Kobe Bryant impression I have ever seen, even though he is a LEBRON JAMES FAN..we won’t hold that against him, at least not until the season begins…hehehe. But what’s really funny is Bow saying he put up a $1K to play Kobe one on one..um well BOW WOW SENT A PIC OF HIS 1 ON 1 WITH KOBE..after the game Read the rest of this entry »
Lebron James addresses the “haters” after the Miami Heat lose to the Dallas Mavericks for the NBA Championship.
The Dallas Mavericks win their first NBA championship in franchise history, defeating the Miami Heat 4games to 2 in a best of 7 series. Avenging their 2006 loss to the Heat. Dirk Nowitzki was named the MVP of the finals..but much could be argued for his teammate Jason Terry, who after being called out by Dirk..stepped his game up to an entirely different level. Well this Laker fan can at least be happy that the Larry O’Brien Trophy stayed in the West. Dirk just took himself out of the “good but not great category” and as for Lebron…hey maybe you can get another crack at it next season. Read the rest of this entry »
Well the NBA Finals are 5 games in, and the the Dallas Mavericks have the series lead 3-2. But the question that continues to be asked is: WHERE IS LEBRON JAMES IN THE 4TH QUARTER? Now last night, Lebron had a triple double (15pts/10rbs/10asst) and the Heat still lost. Now is this Lebron’s fault? Should he net the blame for this one? Maybe not, but it’s the blessing and the curse of a CHAMPION. My belief is this when it comes to Lebron James-he is one of the most physically gifted basketball specimen’s the world has ever seen, his game is phenomenal. Yet he is the player that set’s up the superstar on a team. He is not himself, mentally ready to be a TRUE SUPERSTAR. Sure he accepts all the accolades with being named among the 5 best players in the league, the money, the fame, and all that, but he is NOT ready to accept defeat by his own hands. Don’t sports fans get it? It’s why he left Cleveland in the first place. It wasn’t that his team was horrible, he had no help..it was simply he does not want to carry the burden of losing. But unfortunately, all SUPERSTARS must bear the brunt of losing. Because when they win, it makes it that much sweeter. We watched Michael Jordan go through season after season of losing, the team around him got better(by getting him better players) and the rest is history. So now that Lebron is in South Beach, part of the 3-headed monster…what’s the problem? Read the rest of this entry »
