Chris Paul could become a Laker this weekend. After Commissioner Stern vetoed the first trade, which would have sent Pau Gasol to the Rockets, Lamar Odom to the Hornets, along with Rockets Luis Scola, Kevin Martin, & Goran Dragic. Now I’m seeing that the Celtics have agreed to trade Jermaine Oneal to the Hornets (which he would actually become a Laker) to become a part of a package that the Lakers would send to Orlando in hopes of landing the 3 time Defensive Player of the year. I’m not sure what the Celtics would get back in return for him ( But seriously, I just want this deal to be done, because Lamar may not decide to recover from this, and I feel bad for Pau, but we all know this is part of the game.

The bottom line is this, Dwight Howard was pushing for a trade to New Jersey because the NBA nixed the Chris Paul trade. So it’s my belief that when he seen that, playing with Deron become his 2nd choice of pg’s to play with. But now that the trade is still possible, he got permission from Orlando to talk with the Lakers, (also the Mavs, & Nets), so we have to see what happens. But the truth is, I really don’t believe the Mavs have a true chance if they have to give up Jason Kidd, because Howard wants to play with an all-star caliber guard. Someone that can get him the ball in his comfortable spots. Chris Paul is definitely the one he would want to play with.

The Mavericks will sign Vince Carter to a 1yr deal, so I wonder will the Lakers take a look at Rip Hamilton, just to add depth to the roster? Because once the trades go down (if they go down) the bench will have to be revamped. Ah no sleep till the deal is done.

Well it has been officially spoken, today on ESPN the story broke that the Lakers are ALL IN! They have opened up the entire roster to be traded to get Chris Paul and Dwight Howard. Now we all know that it would take a miracle for the Lakers to pull something this big off, but we are talking about one of the most storied franchises in sports history. Now I will post the link for you to read the story in a bit, but let’s really sit back and imagine what this would mean for this years Laker team, and the subsequent years to follow: EVERYTHING. lol. Not only would the Lakers have set themselves up for life after Kobe Bryant, but they will have also given themselves great opportunity to be in the running NOW for the championship. Mark Zuckerberg Lays Out F8

So today Facebook owner Mark Zuckerberg spoke about the new plans for his social network, all while making sure to get a few jokes in on Twitter and Myspace.
It’s unfortunate that to me Facebook has lost it’s core meaning, a place to connect or stay connected with family and friends. A place that could be more intimate. That’s why I’m on Jermaine Dupri new site, Global14. A place where true connections are taken place daily. Check out the video below in it’s entirety.

The Dallas Mavericks win their first NBA championship in franchise history, defeating the Miami Heat 4games to 2 in a best of 7 series. Avenging their 2006 loss to the Heat. Dirk Nowitzki was named the MVP of the finals..but much could be argued for his teammate Jason Terry, who after being called out by Dirk..stepped his game up to an entirely different level. Well this Laker fan can at least be happy that the Larry O’Brien Trophy stayed in the West. Dirk just took himself out of the “good but not great category” and as for Lebron…hey maybe you can get another crack at it next season. Read the rest of this entry »
