Ah Brandy is back on her game. The singer/actress sits down with Wendy Williams and reveals that she is in love, misses her friendship with Kim Kardashian, and that her alter ego “Bran Nu” should have never came about. She’s back in the studio with her album possibly coming out in May, and soon we will see her back on the big screen in Tyler Perry’s new movie, THE MARRIAGE COUNSELOR. Check out the video below. Kudos to Brandy! I’m so ready for everything she has going on..oh yea Brandy has a recurring role on this season of B.E.T.’s The Game which premieres Tomorrow night on the network.

Do you remember when R/B music sounded like this? When you had to listen to the song over and over simply because it describe so well what you were going through. Back when things were left to the imagination? When voices sounded like this, and everybody who was anybody couldn’t wait to get to the record store on tuesday? Back when if a album had 3 good singles, it was a good album..lol. I simply can’t wait to get back to that. But for now, enjoy Monica’s old school jam, Why I Love You So Much. If you can’t find your Miss Thang album, then cop it on itunes..make sure it’s in your collection.
Monica Brown stops by the Wendy Williams show to speak about pregnancy rumors, her marriage to LA Laker Shannon Brown, and her new album: New Life, which is due out in 2/12. I love Monica, still humble as ever. Thank God for celebrities like this. One thing I’m glad to see is that Vanessa Bryant (Kobe’s wife) was a bridesmaid in her wedding. Vanessa gets such a bad rap, so it’s good to see this relationship has taken place…And how can you NOT like Monica? So that’s just good to know. Check out the video.
Grammy-Award winning songwriter, Cri$tyle, definitely has the hot pen right now. After 2 #1 hits recently, with Monica’s “Love All Over Me” and Rihanna’s “Only Girl (In The World)” the singer songwriter, just penned Mary J. Blige’s first single from her new album: My Life II: THE JOURNEY CONTINUES, 25/8. But she didn’t stop there, she also penned Empty Prayers for the Queen of Hip Hop Soul. Check out both versions below. Read the rest of this entry »
Hot new song hit the net by Monica called: Do It All Again. The song speaks about being able to go back and fix things in a relationship if she had the chance, beautifully written, but even more so the delivery. Not sure if this one will be on the album or not, but Monica’s new album: NEW LIFE is set to be released November 29th. I will have it on pre-order as soon as it becomes available.
Today Monica delivered for her fans as promised and gave them a listen to her new single: UNTIL IT’S GONE. The hot new joint was written by Missy Elliot, Jazmine Sullivan, and Lamb, produced by Missy. Whew I love it! She expresses beautifully the old saying, “I guess you don’t know what you had until it’s gone.” Check it out.
Let me be one of the first to thank Monica for getting back to her roots. Every since the making of her last album Still Standing, Monica has been delivering that true R/B. She has definitely come to understand, that in order to evolve, you don’t have to “leave” your lane, you just need to expand it, and take the fans to new heights through your different experiences that has occurred since the “last” album.
Monica’s new album: NEW LIFE, is slated to be released 11/8. Please believe soon as the Pre-Order link goes up..it will be posted right here. I smell another #1 album, but this time let’s make it #1 on top 200! Check out the brand new video for ANYTHING TO FIND YOU ft. Rick Ross (as he attempts to channel his inner B.I.G.) and this video reminds me of Mary J. Blige’s “Real Love” it was directed by Chris Robinson (who also directed the LOVE ALL OVER ME VIDEO)…and yet it’s still fly. Reebok Classics, girls doing the wop..all that. The only thing missing is Missy Elliot. The artists are doing all they can to bring that true R/B back…90’s baby!
Adonis has laid his pen to pad again, and came up with a hot one: Nearest Exit. This songwriter just has the knack of tapping into everyday life, on a level that’s all his. If you not familiar with him, just know he is the one who penned STILL STANDING, (the single) for Monica. Check out this joint produced by Dapo Torimiro and Harvey Mason.

Lil Wayne dropped his brand new video for his single: HOW TO LOVE. The song is getting so much airplay, I heard it while looking for cleaning supplies in a Dollar General..lol. The video however gives me even more reason to love the song. I’m not the biggest Lil Wayne fan, but it’s joints like this that won’t allow me to turn him completely off. Director Chris Robinson, who also directed Monica’s “Love All Over Me” mini movie, took this song, and created a story that everyone needs to see. The video parallel’s the life of a young lady, who goes through some very deep trials, as one life shows the horror that can come out of childhood traumas, and the other shows the goodness that can come out of right decisions. He really needs to bless us with more joints like this, or do we give all the credit to the Director who interpreted the song and came up with this? Nonetheless, I love it.
