MINISTER G.CRAIG LEWIS ON "FRIENDS"

Ephesians 5:3 – ‘But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it
not be once named among you, as becometh saints; Neither filthiness, nor
foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of
thanks.’
The bedroom should not be a “friendly” discussion. I know there are times when married friends want to get advice or counsel about their bedroom habits, or singles may mention things they “wish” they had as far as intimacy goes. But you have to be careful how you expose yourself to your friends. For married women, it is dangerous to talk too much about your intimacy with your husband to your girlfriends. You may be getting them “curious” and not even know it. You could be turning the lights on for them and they see your HUSBAND standing there! Do not create a vivid picture of your husband’s sexuality to anyone. No one is to be trusted with the knowledge of your man’s sexual performance. And single women, do not talk about sex to your friends. You can share general stuff and surface stuff, but the more you dig into your past, PRESENT, or future sexual encounters, the more you tempt yourself to betray your God ordained abstinence.

Fellas, stop trying to make your homies think you are the bomb sexually! God ain’t in that mess and you know it. Get your life under control and stop bragging on your wicked past like “you were the bomb until you got saved!” The more you talk, the more your mind will wander. And then you may find yourself wanting to go back and resolve some of those “failed attempts!” Why are you discussing it if you can’t do it? You must keep your conversations clean and Christian! Stop talking about what you could’ve, would’ve, should’ve done and keep your thoughts pure before God. You cannot be sexually active as a single believer and stay a true believer so there is no need to harp on it! Be careful what you discuss and how you rehearse sexual topics with your friends. It could turn from good to bad in a matter of minutes. And things that you thought you had under control could come back to consume you. Remember, death and life is in the power of your tongue!
