NEW MUSIC: JORDIN SPARKS-ONE WING
Whitney Houston’s legacy lives on with the soundtrack to Sparkle, a remake of the 1976 film. Due July 31, the 11-song compilation features the final recordings from Houston, as well as music from her co-stars Jordin Sparks, Cee Lo Green, and Goapele. Houston and Sparks duet on the feel-good first single “Celebrate,” produced by R. Kelly, and Houston takes it back to her church roots on the gospel classic “His Eye Is on the Sparrow.” See the tracklisting below.

Super-producer Timbaland, along with Ne-Yo offers the first joint from the Motion Picture soundtrack: Step Up Revolution. The song is called Hands In The Air, and offers a perfect mix of high energy beats that goes perfect with the dance flick.

NEW MUSIC: WHITNEY HOUSTON FT. JORDIN SPARKS-CELEBRATE
Ah just hearing Whitney’s voice continually reminds me, the Gift is gone. But I’m so happy she left us with this upbeat song. To me it’s like what I hear her singing even in heaven. We definitely Celebrate her! The song, Celebrate, was produced by R. Kelly, is from her final movie debut, Sparkle, with Jordin Sparks as her co-star. Enjoy.

Mary J. Blige channels her inner rock goddess on “Any Way You Want It,” her cover of Journey’s 1980s hit. The song appears on the soundtrack to Rock of Ages, the ’80s musical in which she plays gentlemen’s club owner Justice. The star-studded cast includes Tom Cruise, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Russell Brand, Julianne Hough, and Alec Baldwin. See Mary take charge in the film, which opens in theaters on June 15. (via Rap-Up)
