[SPORTS] LAKERS LOSE TO KINGS, START 0-2

The Lakers lost to the Sacramento Kings last night, 91-100. Here is my perspective.

The game vs the Bulls, was simply turnovers and free throws. This game vs the Kings showed more than ever that Mike Brown better start trusting Darius Morris/Andrew Goudelock soon, or else what Tyreke Evans did will be happening all season. I watched Derek Fisher and Steve Blake get scored on more than 10 times vs Evans, and it wasn’t pretty. Now I’m not here to take away from what Marcus Thorton did, but for everyone who thought Kobe guarded him the whole game, you need a replay..but the way “baby buckets” was shooting it really didn’t matter who was on him.

 

[TV SHOW] RACHEL CROW ELIMINATED ON X-FACTOR SHOW

Thursday night as I sat in my living room watching the LIVE results of THE X-FACTOR, I was reminded why voting is so important. I mean it’s what our democratic government is built on. Yea I know it’s a television show, but after watching 13 year old Rachel Crow be eliminated because she received the lowest votes by the fans of the show, proves how even those watching do not take the show seriously, but rather just entertainment. For the contestants however this really is do or die to them. Now I’m not saying it’s the end of the world, but we all know how it feels to lose, and the feeling is never good. And when you are 13, you don’t always get it right then. Now let me say this, I do not think that Marcus should have been on the chopping block either, in my humble opinion, Chris Renea is messing up the X Factor. He is like the William Hung of X-Factor. Of course his talent is far more superior than Hung’s but not the final 5 standing. I love his story, but that’s it. Now take a moment, if you haven’t already, and watch Rachel Crow sing Etta James “I Rather Be Blind” and Marcus Canty sing Mary J. Blige “Im Going Down.”

 

[TV SHOW] TYLER PERRY’S FOR BETTER OR WORSE

As Tyler Perry prepares to say goodbye to The House of Payne, he has made sure to leave his fans with something they can sink their teeth into for at least 5 more seasons: For Better or Worse. The new (drama styled) sitcom stars Michael Jai White, and Tasha Smith, from Perry’s Why Did I Get Married series. TBS has gone a long way into investing in Tyler’s endeavors, and it’s good to see they are still aboard. With over 222 episodes, The House of Payne has a very successful run, and with Perry being the business man he is, those actors/actresses will “eat” for a long time off of the royalty checks.
